THE GREAT WIDE OPEN

There is an area in western Texas, commonly referred to as the Big Bend region. This sparsely populated area includes a large part of the Chihuahuan Desert, as well as the Chisos Mountain range and has a rugged beauty all its own. This book is a pictorial record of visits to the area to document, not only the beauty of the area, but the inevitable changes that occur.

MONOCHROME SQUARES

A collection of images in “monochrome” because, in many cases, a touch of sepia tone has been added to provoke feelings of nostalgia and warmth. The square format is also a little less formal, which lends itself to a little bit of whimsy here and there, as well as a smaller size, to evoke a feeling of intimacy with the subject – as if you are holding personal memories of things you have seen or experienced.
