GOING TO PIECES - GRANDPA’S GLASS PHOTOGRAPHY SERIES (Part 12)

Welcome back to Part 12 of the Grandpa’s Glass Series.

In case you are new here, I am sharing some stories behind the photos of my Grandpa’s Glass series. If you missed any of those posts, they are linked below. But, today, I want to end this series with a couple of special images that are part of Grandpa’s story.

The Tulips

The tulips falling to pieces are symbolic of the passage of time. The petals are reminders of both the fleeting moments of time, as well as the importance of being able to bloom and adapt to changing light and changing seasons. Grandpa certainly epitomized adaption and living life fully.

In the end, much like the petals of the tulip, it was his body that failed him while his mind remained sharp and active.
